    Some albums does not age well at all. This, the second album from It's A Beautiful Day is one of them the time passed by. The music on Marrying Maiden is romantic late s pop/rock, largely influenced by late s/early s pop music, pre The Beatles.

    Unfortunately Marrying Maiden can't reach the quality of it's famous predecessor. It's a Beautiful Day's S/T debut album is one of the classics of the late 's psych rock but it's their only great album. This second LP of theirs is clearly weaker although it includes a couple of enjoyable tracks as well. But overall this is much weaker.

    It's A Beautiful Day's sound was the embodiment of the Berkley-San Francisco era. This initial offering, in my humble opinion, was by far the best compilation. The unheard of (at that time) use of violin and other orchestra sounds, blending in with haunting vocals by Pattie Santos and David LaFlamme, their harmonies resulted in a wonderful /5().
